　Information Explosion has gained wide attensions. 3EB (3000000000000000000 bytes, 100 quadrillion bytes) data is generated everyday all over the world (It's a Big Data). It is impossible to process such a large amount of data with a fastest single computer and, in fact, Google's leading-edge system is composed of two millions of computers. Distributed computing is an essential technology for such enormous systems. Our laboratory targets wide range of technologies, such as distributed computing framework, distributed database, and distributed file systems.

　We have studied about Software-Defined Networks (SDN). SDN provides programmatic approach for dynamically and flexibly defining structures and behaviors of information networks. Especially, our study focuses on software-based approach without special hardware support to achieve efficient virtual networks and reliable controller systems.
